The lab is currently seeking one M.A.Sc. and one Ph.D. student


Students wishing to join the AFM lab should formally apply to the Department of Mechanical Engineering at UBC and indicate your interest in the AFM lab in your statement.

Students are encouraged to apply for admission via the Internet. The address is: http://www.grad.ubc.ca/application/. Applicants must have a valid Visa or MasterCard credit card in order to apply through this facility.

The application and document deadline for Mechanial Engineering is December 1st for early admission and consideration for scholarship opportunities; however, later applications will be accepted by the department. Applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible.

Students holding major scholarships, e.g. NSERC or other national scholarships, are urged to apply at any time, and should indicate this in their communication. NSERC students in the AFM lab are eligible for top up scholarships.
